Let no. of of votes the present Sarpanch received = 3y

Then,

3y + 1y = 5764

4y = 5764

y = 5764/4

y = 1441

No. of votes = 3(y)

                    = 3(1441)

                    = 4321

Therefore no. of votes received is 4321
