Answer:

Formula for amount of copper saving is given by, =(\frac{a'-1}{a'} )W_{two}

Explanation:

For two winding transformer, the turns ratio is given by, a=\frac{V_1-V_2}{V_2}=\frac{N_1-N_2}{N_2}

For autotransformer, the turns ratio is given by, a'=\frac{V_1}{V_2}=\frac{N_1}{N_2}

where, N_2  is the number of secondary turns of the autotransformer.

N_1 is the number of primary turns of the autotransformer.

In Autotransformer Winding Material requirement is less. Two winding transformer Winding Material requirement is more.

The formula for amount of copper saving is given by, =(\frac{a'-1}{a'} )W_{two}

where, W_{two} is the wight of copper in two transformers.
