The scale on a map is 1 : 25 000
How many kilometers on the ground is represented by 9cm on the map?
Please I beg you help me and describe it like say how did you do it please!!!!

1:25000 basically means

1cm on map is 25000km

so 9cm is 25000*9 km

ans 224000 km

Ratio of distance in map : actual distance on ground = 1 : 25000

So, 1 cm on map = approx. 25000 cm on ground.

So, 9 cm on map = approx. (25000 x 9) cm on ground.

=225000 cm on ground. (Ans)
