the scene of tea estates as portrayed by Arup Kumar Datta in tea from Assam class 10

Arup Kumar Dutta's portrayal of the tea estates of Assam is very realistic. The reader can almost picture the scene. Green is the dominant colour. The green tea bushes covered a lot of area. In fact, it was as unending as an ocean, just that it was a green ocean. Hills stood at the edge of the tea estates. These hills too had an abundance of greenery, as the author says that they were 'densely wooded'.
Huge shade trees had been planted in the tea estate, to provide shade to the tea bushes. The bushes looked very tiny compared to the high trees. The trees were planted in straight columns, giving it a neat and orderly look. Even the tea bushes were all of the same height.
Women tea-pluckers, dressed in plastic aprons and carrying bamboo baskets, were busy at work, plucking tea leaves. A tractor-trailer laden with the fresh crop moved along on the gravel road.
