In my school canteen, 4 people can sit together at 1 table. If 2 tables are

placed together, 6 people can sit together, as shownRitu wants to arrange a party for her classmates on her birthday in the

school canteen. She and her friends want to sit together around the tables

as per the arrangement shown. They all are 14 in number. How many

tables they need to join together? Draw the arrangement.

Given :  4 people can sit together at 1 table. If 2 tables are

placed together, 6 people can sit together,

To Find :  How many tables they need to join together for 14

Solution:

4 people can sit on 1 table

Basically 1 person on each side

When 2 table are joined

then 6 people can sit

as 1 side of each table is gone

When 3 table are joined then 8 people can sit

hence
