The school library has 650 books.There are 200 Mathematics books,172 History books,190 books on
Science and the remaining books are of literature.

Find the ratio of:
(¡)History books to all the books in the library.
(¡¡)Literature books to Science
books.

  • The School has Total books=650.
  • Number of Mathematics Books=200
  • Number of History Books=172
  • Number of Science Books=190
  • We can assume number of books in Literature is=X
  • So as per above information, X+200+172+190=650
  • So X=650-200-172-190=88
  • So Number of Literature Books=88
  • Ratio of History books to all books in the Library=172:650=86:325
  • Ratio of Literature Books to Science Books will be= 88:190=44:95
