Har Gobind Khorana is the name of the scientist who synthesised gene artificially with chemicals.
He is an Indian born biochemist during the period of British rule. Raipur in Punjab was the birthplace of this scientist.
He completed his studies in Punjab University and got his Ph. d from the University of Liverpool, England. His interest over proteins and nucleotide is the root for his discovery that brought him a noble prize.
