Abbe Georges Lemaitre proposed Big Bang Theory which he called "hypothesis of the primeval atom" or the "Cosmic Egg".
This theory was afterwards confirmed by Edwin Hubble who derived the first estimation known as the Hubble constant.
Lemaitre started studying engineering at the age of 17 in the civil department at the Catholic University of Leuven.
Later in the year 1925, he became a part-time lecturer at the same University as he studied in.
