The northern and southern hemispheres always experience opposite seasons. This is because during summer or winter, one part of the planet is more directly exposed to the rays of the Sun than the other, and this exposure to the sun keeps alternating, i.e, one part then the next part and so on, as the Earth revolves in its orbit.

The season in the northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere is not same because the rotation of the earth, angle between equotorial plane makes the season different in the both the spheres.
