Unlike the east streaming, significant waterways of peninsular India, the rivers Narmada and Tapi are the rivers flowing westwards and is running to the west and it is parallel to Vindhyas and the ranges of Satpura Ranges.


But deltas are not formed. The Narmada is the third longest waterway of peninsular India with 1312 kilometers in its length.
