The second world war promoted the process of decolonization. Do you agree? Give any two reasons.

Answer :

1) World War 2 was a turning point in the history of the world because of      the destruction it caused. Almost all the European powers fought in it and suffered great losses. Because of this, the European powers were unable to hold on to their colonies and so the gradual process of decolonization started.

2) Another reason for decolonization was the fact that .reformers and radicals in Asia, South America and Africa had extended their influence on almost all their countrymen and were too powerful to hold on for the European powers.
