The section of a solid right circular cone by a plane containing vertex and perpendicular to base is
an equilateral triangle of side 10 cm. find the volume of the cone?​

Answer:

Volume of the cone = 1/3 * pi * r * r *h         -------------------------- (1)

We know that in the equilateral triangle all sides are equal.

Given, Side = 10cm

height = 100 - 25

      

           = root 75

 

            = 8.66 

Substitute in (1), we get

The volume of the cone = ⅓ * 3.14 * 8.66 * 25

                                         =  226.6 cm^3
