The self-inductance of a coil of 500turns is 0. 2H. if 60% of flux is linked with a second coil of 10000turns. calculate,
(i)The mutual inductance between two coils and
(ii)The e. m. f. induced in the second coil when current in the first coil changes at the rate of 100A/S.

Answer:

Mutual Inductance

Explanation:

Mutual Inductance is the interaction of one coils magnetic field on another coil as it induces a voltage in the adjacent coil. In the previous tutorial we saw that an inductor generates an induced emf within itself as a result of the changing magnetic field around its own turns.
