Given, S. P. Of 10 articles is equal to C. P. Of 12 articles.

Let the S. P. Of 12 articles = Rs. 12x
And the C. P. Of 10 articles = Rs. 10x.

Gain = Rs. (12x-10x) = Rs. 2x.

Gain%
= (Gain/CP) ×100%
= (2/10)×100%
= 20% [Ans.]

gain = no. of article of c.p - no. of article of s.p
12-10=2
so gain %= (gain (in no. ) ×100)/(no. of article in s.p )
=( 2×100)÷10=20%
