selling price=MP*(100-discount )/100

MP*(100-10)/100=270

MP*90/100=270

MP=270*10/9

MP=2700/9

MP=300 rs.

Answer :

  • Marked Price (M.P.) of the watch = 300.

Step-by-step Explanation :

Given that :

  • Selling price (S.P.) of a watch = 270.
  • Discount on which the watch sold = 10%.

To find :

  • Marked Price (M.P.) of the watch.

Formula Used :

  • M.P. = ( 100 × S.P. ) / ( 100 - D ).

Finding the Marked Price (M.P.) :

ㅤㅤ→ M.P. = ( 100 × S.P. ) / ( 100 - D ).

Substituting the known values :

ㅤㅤ→ M.P. = ( 100 × 270 ) / ( 100 - 10 ).

By Multiplication we get :

ㅤㅤ→ M.P. = ( 27000 ) / ( 90 )

By Division we get :

ㅤㅤ→ M.P. = 300.

.°. Marked Price (M.P.) of the watch is ₹300.
