The separation between two masses is reduced to half. How is the magnitude of gravitational force between them affected

If you reduce the distance to half,gravitational force of attractionbecomes four times. According to Newtons law of gravitation ,gravitational force between two objects is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the two objects
