In the setting of cure, milk changes into new substance that is curd which is different in taste from milk....

Also this is an irreversible process because milk cannot get back from curd....

Formation of new substance and irreversible process shows that setting of curd is a chemical change as these are properties of a chemical change.....

The setting of the curd is a chemical change because after the warm milk os turned into milk by the lactobasilles bacteria that crud which is the final product cannot be again changed to milk so called as chemical change
