The seventh term of an AP excedes it's 10th term by 7. Find the common difference.

If it's first term is 3, then find the sum of the first 100 terms.

Who will answer first and correct will be marked as brainliest.

we can write 7th term as:-
a+6d
and 10th term as:-
a+9d
now,
a+6d =a+9d +7
-3d =7
d= -7/3
given:a=3
to find;
sum of 1st 100 term
sum(100)= n/2(2a+(n-1)d)
100/2(2×3+(100-1)×(-7/3)
50(6+99×(-7/3))
-11550

Saby123: How did u get d = -7?
Saby123: Also, the answer is wrong.
Saby123: And Assuming a= 3 is the second part.
Saby123: U have written 3d=-7 d= -7/3. and not -7
