the sex of children is determined by its father not from mother because ovum is always of X-chromosome and sperms are of both X and Y chromosome. if the sperm with Y chromosome combines with ovule then the offspring will male and of X chromosome combines with ovule then the offspring will female.
hence, we can conclude that sex of child is determined by what it inherit from father not from mother.
