THE SHADES OF HUMANITY IS GREY: Human beings are neither good nor evil but an amalgam of both.
I see beings indigent
I see beings opulent
Succour racing in veins
But feeling deprived myself
Had sake many storms
And left out ghosts.
Done being ethical
Don't want to be terrible
Twinkling time passing by
Whispers of life sly
Hold to humanity
Interdict from fly.
MEANING OF THE POEM:-
The first stanza means that we see people of every kind "poor" and "rich" described as "indigent" and "opulent". We wish to help them but feel broken ourselves in need of help. Already had helped many of them but left all alone after.
The second stanza says that it feels like giving up the goodness, but do not want to be bad either and in this thinking, the time keeps on passing by. But then life reminds you to stay strong, hold onto humanity and not lose it.
