Answer:

The answer: perimeter = 660m

                     Area = 30800 m^2

Step-by-step explanation:
Given:

Breadth of rectangle = 140m

Radius = breadth/2 = 70m

To find :

perimeter and area of the given garden

Solution:

We know that 2xsemicircle = Whole circle
So,

Area of circle        = πr^{2}                 (r=Radius)
Area of rectangle = LxB                (L=Length,B=Breadth)

Length of rectangle = 250 - 2(70)                 (subtracting because we

                                                                         need the length of rectangle)

               Length        = 110 m

So ,

Area of rectangle = 110 x 140                         (Given)

                              = 15400 m^2

Area of circle = π x 70 x 70

                       = (22/7) x 70 x 70

                       = 22 x 10 x 70

                      = 15400 m^2

Area of the garden = Area of circle + area of rectangle

                                = 15400 + 15400

                                = 30800 m^2

Perimeter of the garden = circumfrence of circle + 2(Length of rectangle)

circumfrence of circle = 2πr

                                    = 2x(22/7)x70

                                    = 44 x 10

                                    = 440 m

Perimeter of the garden = 440 + 220

                                        = 660 m

The answer: perimeter = 660m

                     Area = 30800 m^2
