Answer:

PERIMETER: 85.7 m

AREA: 169.6 m

Step-by-step explanation:

PERIMETER of RECTANGLE : 2(l+b)

= 2(30+5)

= 2×35

= 70m

PERIMETER of semi-circle : πr × 2

= 22/7 × 2.5 × 2. ( πr is multiplied by 2 because the figure has 2 semi-circles )

= 7.85 × 2 m

= 15.7m

TOTAL PERIMETER = (70+15.7)m = 85.7 m

AREA OF RECTANGLE: l×b

=30×5

=150 m

Area of circle: πr² (because two semi-circles make 1 circle)

=22/7 × 2.5 × 2.5m

= 19.6m

TOTAL AREA: 150m + 19.6m = 169.6 m
