The area of the figure is 2361.625 sq. m and perimeter is 190 m.

Explanation:

Given , radius of semicircle = 17.5 cm

Length of rectangle = 40 m

Width of rectangle = 35 m

Area of the figure = 2(Area of semicircle) + Area of rectangle.

=2(\dfrac{3.14}{2}(17.5)^2)+40\times35\\\\=2(480.8125)+1400\\\\=2361.625\ m^2

Perimeter of figure = 2 (Circumference of circle)+2(length)

=2(\dfrac{22}{7} \times17.5)+2(40m)\\\\=110+80=190\ m

Hence, the area of the figure is 2361.625 sq. m and perimeter is 190 m.
