The shape of earth is not same everywhere.
Due to its rotation of earth is bulging at equator and flatter at pole.
Radius of earth is higher at equator and lower at poles.
Gravitational force on poles is 9.832 metres per second square.
Gravitational force of equator is 9.78 metre per second square.
BUT
According to me the mass also decreases on the poles.
As a combined effect of mass and the radius ,the acceleration due to gravity decrease at poles than increase.
Why does this happens?

Answer:

Variation of g due to Shape of Earth As the earth is an oblate spheroid, its radius near the equator is more than its radius near poles. Since for a source mass, the acceleration due to gravity is inversely proportional to the square of the radius of the earth, it varies with latitude due to the shape of the earth.
