“The shape of the cells of a multicellular organism assumes various shapes according to the function they perform”. Elucidate this statement taking nerve cells and muscle cells into consideration.

Yes the above statement is absolutely correct.

Because, multi cellular organisms have infinite number of cells arranged as tissues. Each tissue cells perform different functions. So they are in different shapes in body.

for example:

Human beings have hands, legs,eyes, etccc.

These are all in different shapes.
