Answer:

Area is 8.8m

Step-by-step explanation:

area of a trapezium=0.5 × (sum of parallel sides) × height

=>0.5×(1+1.2)×0.8

=>2.2×0.4

=>8.8m

Given :

  • Two parallel sides = 1m and 1.2 m
  • Height = 0.8 m

To Find :

  • Area of Table

Solution :

\tt{Parallel\:sides=1m\:and\:1.2m}

\longrightarrow\tt{Height(h)=0.8m}

Using Formula :

\tt\boxed{Area\:of\:Trapezium=\dfrac{1}{2}\times{Sum\:of\:parallel\:sides}\times{h}}

Putting Values :

\longrightarrow\tt{\dfrac{1}{2}\times{(1+1.2)}\times{0.8}}

\longrightarrow\tt{\dfrac{1}{2}\times\dfrac{22}{10}\times\dfrac{08}{10}}

\longrightarrow\tt{\cancel\dfrac{176}{200}}

\longrightarrow\tt\bold{0.88{m}^{2}}

So , The Area of top surface of the table is 0.88m²...
