Answer:

A = 0.735 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

A = \frac{a + b}{2}h

A = \frac{1 + 1.1}{2} * h

A = 1.05 m * 0.7 m

A = 0.735 m²

Hope this helps you.

Given,

  • The shape of the top surface of a table is a Trapezium.
  • The Parallel Sides are 1m & 1.1m
  • The Height = 0.7m

To Find,

  • The Area of given Trapezium.

Solution,

A = 1m •••(Given)

[1m = 100cm]

→ A = 1m

→ A = 1 × 100m

A = 100m

B = 1.1m •••(Given)

[1m = 100cm]

→ B = 1.1m

→ B = 1.1 × 100cm

B = 110cm

H = 0.7m •••(Given)

[1m = 100cm]

→ H = 0.7m

→ H = 0.7 × 100cm

H = 70cm

Area of Trapezium

Area of Trapezium = ½ × (Sum of Parallel Sides) × Height

→ Area of Trapezium

= ½ × (A + B) × H

→ Area of Trapezium

= ½ × (100cm + 110cm) × 70cm

→ Area of Trapezium = 210cm × 35cm

→ Area of Trapezium = 7350cm²

Required Answer

The Area of Trapezium = 7350 square cm
