Area of Trapezium= ½ × (Sum of parallel sides) × Perpendicular distance
Area of Trapezium
= (1/2) × (1+1.4) ×.9
= ½× 2.4 × .9
= ½ × 2.16
= 1.08 m^2
=1.08 m²
Hence, the area of the top of the table = 1.08 m²
