Given:-

Shatabdi express covers the distance of 250 km

It takes the time is 5hrs

To calculate:-

Average speed in km/hr and m/s

Solution:-

As we know that,

\bigstar \underline{\boxed{ \sf{{Speed}_{(avg)} =  \frac{Total \: Distance}{Time \: taken} }}}

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤSubstituting the values,

 \sf \: Speed =  \dfrac{250 \: km}{5 \: hr}

\underline {\boxed{\sf{Speed =  50 \: km/hr}}}

As we know that,

To convert the km/hr - m/s we have to multiply with 5/18 . Then it get converted into m/s .

Speed in m/s :-

 \longrightarrow \:  \sf \: 50 \times  \dfrac{5}{18} m/s

 \longrightarrow \:  \sf \: 25 \times  \dfrac{5}{9} m/s

 \longrightarrow \:  \sf \:  \dfrac{25 \times 5}{9} m/s

 \longrightarrow \:  \sf \:  \dfrac{125}{9} m/s

 \longrightarrow \:  \sf \:  13.88 \: m/s

\underline{\boxed{\sf{Speed = 13.88 m/s}}}

Required answer:-

50 km/hr and 13.88 m/s
