as the no of increase in every year is

8% we have to find the increase in 3 years of 200 sheep that can be written as follows

8×3/100×200 = 580

the shephered has 200sheep with him find the number of sheeps with him after the 3years If the Increase in number of sheep is 8%every year

Solution:

Total sheep= 200

Increase % =8

Total sheep after 1 year= 200+(8% of 200)

=
200 + \frac{200 \times 8}{100} \\ \\ = 200 + 16 \\ \\ = 216 \\ \\
Total sheep after 2nd year= 216+(8% of 216)

 = 216 + \frac{216 \times 8}{100} \\ \\ = 216 + 17.28 \\ \\ = 233.28 \\ \\
Total sheep after 3rd year= 233.28+(8% of 233.28)

 = 233.28 + \frac{233.28 \times 8}{100} \\ \\ = 233.28 + 18.67 \\ \\ = 251.94 \\ \\

So,after 3 years that shephered has ≈ 252 sheeps.

Note: sheep cannot be in fraction, that is why approximation is necessary
