'Yes, for a moment. At first I thought its quite hopeless, but I have unquestionably
seen, for a single moment, the face that I once knew so well. Hush! Let us draw
further back. Hush!'
a. Who says these words?
b. Why does he think it was hopeless?
c. Whose face does he recognise?

Explanation:

(a) Monsier Manette , the shoemaker , says these words.

(b) He thinks hopeless because he had lost his all hopes to meet again his old friends like Mr.Lorry , Defarge and his daughter Luccii.

(c) He recognise Mr.Lorry 's face
