the shopkeeper bought a pen for rupees 75 book for rupees 240 and a pencil box for rupees 46 he sold the pen for rupees 81 book for rupees 255 and the pencil box for rupees 40 what was his gain or loss

The profit gained by solding the pen = 81 - 75 = Rs 6

The profit gained by solding the book = 255 - 240 = Rs 15

The loss by solding the pencil box = 46 - 41 = Rs 5

net profit or loss = 6 + 15 - 5 = Rs 16

As the value is positive , it is the profit that is of Rs 16
