cost of two bikes is:

22% profit on bike 1 = x+x*22/100 = 1.22x

similarly, 8% loss on bike2 = 0.92 y

1.22x+0.92y = 750

x = (750–0.92y)/1.22……………………….(b)

subsituting (b) in (a) and solving for y we get,

y = 550 Rs - cost of bike 2.

substituting value of y in (a), we get

x = 200 Rs - cost of bike 1.

selling price of bike 1 = 1.22x = Rs244
