ᴥ let's the cost price of DVD = Rs x

now

22\% \: of \: x \: = \: \frac{ x \times 22}{100} = \frac{22x}{100} \: \: \: \: ......eq _{1}

according to the question

● the shopkeeper charges his customer 22% more than price

than

● also given customer paid total amount of DVD = Rs 10980

NOW

 = > x \: + \: (22\% \: of \: x) = 10980 \\ \\ = > x + \frac{22x}{100} = 10980 \: \: \: \: ...(by \: eq _{1}) \\ \\ = > \frac{100x + 22x}{100} = 10980 \\ \\ = > 122x = 1098000 \\ \\ = > x \: = \frac{1098000}{122} \\ \\ = > x \: = 9000 \: \: \: \: \: \: \: ....answer

❍ Hence, the cost price of DVD player "Rs 9000"
