Burtie Heasant is the main character : 19 years and 8 months old boy, live by his parents and have sisters.

Ella McCarthy is maybe the girlfriend of Burtie.

The mother of Burtie : she is curious, want Burtie to be the perfect son, she have an empty-mind.

Clovis Sangrail = Clothilde (a friend of Burtie).

Burtie feels angry and annoyed by the fact that her mother is reading all his letters. His friend, Clovis, decided to change this situation by writing weird letters under the name of ''Clothilde''.

She continued to ask him questions but Burtie never replied to any of them. An other letter arrived with ''private'' marked on it too. In this letter, the ''murder'' was confirmed. Burtie's mother started to cry louder and said to Burtie that she knows everything. This one finally replied and said that all of this is imaginary. A last letter came, written under the name of Clovis Sangrail, who said that all of this was imaginary and was especially intended to Burtie's mother. Burtie came out of his bedroom and said he was going to find a doctor for his mother because he thinks she is crazy to read other people's letters and exciting herself about it. Burtie's mother doesn't want people to hear about this and promised she won't open Burtie's letters again. The story end up by '' And Clovis as no more faithful friend than Burtie Heasant.''

The story takes place in Kensington Garden, on a late spring afternoon. This is the story of a boy (Burtie) who offers handkerchiefs to his girlfriend (Ella McCarthy). This one didn't thank's Burtie because she knows that the mother of Burtie opens all his letters. Burtie is really angry . The evening, he meets his friend Clovis at the swimming-bath and explain him the situation. This one replied that if he were at his place, he would do something to change the situation.

One or two days after this conversation, Burtie received a letter but he wasn't at home. It was marked ''private'' on it. His mother opened it as quickly as possible and discovered a weird text and thought his son was planning on murdering someone and would be rewarded for it and the letter said '' Your mother must not know of my existence.'' She started to cry and then Bertie arrived at home and his mother started to ask him questions about Clothilde. Burtie said he doesn't know anything and locked him inside his bedroom.
