The shortcut command for Italic is​ Ctrl + I

  • When a text needs to be written in italics, short cut key, Ctrl + I can be used.
  • Other commonly used shortcut commands to add effects to the text are: Ctrl +B for Bold, Ctrl+U for underline.
  • These effects can be alternatively added by selecting the options in the Font section of the Home tab in MS Word.
