SI UNIT of Magnetic Moment:

  • Magnetic moment is a vector quantity and calculated as the product of current and area of cross-section.

  • It is denoted as M.

  • M = I × area

So, its SI UNIT should be :

 = ampere \times  {m}^{2}

  • However , magnetic moment can also be written as : M = Torque/Field Intensity.

In that case ,SI unit will be :

 = N \: m \: {T}^{ - 1}

  • 'N' : Newton , 'T' is Tesla.

 = J\: {T}^{ - 1}

  • Nm can be written as Joule (J).

Option D) is correct ✔️
