★Given:-

Ratio of the sides of 2 square is 2 : 3.

★To find:-

Ratio of their areas.

★Solution:-

Let the side of both the squares be x and y respectively.

ATQ,

 \bf \dfrac{x}{y} = \dfrac{2}{3}

We know that,

\boxed{ \bf Area \: of \: square = side^2}

Using this formula,

\bf \implies \Bigg ( \dfrac{x}{y} \Bigg )^2 =  \Bigg ( \dfrac{2}{3} \Bigg )^2

\sf \implies \dfrac{x^2}{y^2}= \dfrac{2^2}{3^2}

\sf \implies \dfrac{x^2}{y^2}= \dfrac{4}{9}

Hence, the ratio of their squares is \bf 4 : 9
