The side of a cube is equal to the diameter of a sphere. If the side and radius increase at the same rate
then the ratio of the increase of their surfaces is ____please answer this question friends.​

Answer:

let the diameter be 2r

so surface area of the sphere will be 4Πr^2

increase in surface area of sphere is

d 4Πr^2/dr = 4Π(2r) = 8Πr

surface area of cube = 6(2r)^2 = 24r^2

increase in surface of cube is

d 24r^2 /dr = 48r

so ratio of increase is 8Πr/48r

= Π/6
