the side of a rectangle are 20 cm and 15 CM if its side of rectangle is increased by 20% find the percentage increase in the area​

Answer:

Length of Rectangle = 20cm

Breadth of Rectangle = 15cm

∴ The Area of rectangle will be

⇒ Length x Breadth = 20 x 15 = 300cm2

Side of Rectangle are increased by 20%

∴ The length of Rectangle becomes = 20 + 4 = 24cm

∴ The Breadth of Rectangle becomes = 15 + 3 = 18 cm

∴ The Area of rectangle will be

⇒ Length x Breadth = 24 x 18 = 432cm2

∴ Increase in Area = Final Area – Initial Area

= 432 – 300

= 132cm2

∴ The Area of Rectangle is increased by 44%.
