Let Length L = x m

Breadth B = 2/3 x m as B & L are in the ratio of 2 : 3

Area = L × B = x × 2/3 x = 486 sq .m

x^2 = (3/2 ) 486 = 3 × 243 = 729

x = sq.root of 729

=27 m So L = 27 m B = 27 ×2/3 = 18 m

Perimeter = 2 ( L + B ) = 2 ( 27 +18 ) =90 m

Cost of fencing 90m=90×40=Rs.3600
