Percentage of the area increase will be 56.25%

Given data :

Initial length = 20 ft

Initial breadth = 15ft

Increase percentage = 25%

The initial area = (20×15)ft² = 300 ft²

Increased length = {20+(20×25/100)} = (20+5) = 25 ft

Increased breadth = {15+(15×25/100)} = (15+3.75) = 18.75 ft

Increased area = (25×18.75) = 468.75 ft²

Difference = (468.75-300) = 168.75 ft²

Percentage increase = (100×168.75/300) = 56.25%
