The two sides of a right angled triangle are given

Let us assume a and b be the sides of the triangle and c be the hypotenuse of the triangle

a = 12 cm

b = 5 cm

To find the hypotenuse of the triangle we will use the pythagoras theorem

c² = a² + b²

c = √(a² + b²)

  = √(12² + 5²)

  = √( 144 + 25)

  =√(169)

 = 13 cm

Hence, the hypotenuse of the right angled triangle will be 13 cm
