so all we have to do is compare the areas of the two given shapes but...the breadth of rectangle is not give ....still we have a hint to find the answer. lets make it easy for u

according to question perimeter of both shapes are equal

so.

50×4=2(80+b)

200/2= 80+b

hence b = 20

so the area of square = a ×a=50×50 = 2500m^2

area of rectangle = lb= 20×80=1600m^2

SO AREA OF SQAURE IS LARGER ....HOPE IT HELPS PLEASE MARK THE ANSWER AS BRAINALIST

Answer :-

The square field has larger area.

Explanation :-

Given :

  • Side of square = 50 m
  • Length of rectangle = 80 m

To find :

Field with larger area.

Now,

Perimeter of square = 4 × Side

= 4 × 50

= 200 m

Area of square = Side × Side

= 50 × 50

= 2500 m^2

Since perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle,

Then,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l + b)

=> 200 = 2 (80 + b)

=> 200/2 = 80 + b

=> 100 = 80 + b

=> b = 100 - 80

=> b = 20 m

° Breadth of rectangle = 20 m

Area of rectangle = l × b

= 80 × 20

= 1600 m^2

Hence, the square field has the larger area.
