The side of a square flower bed is 8 m 80 cm it is enlarged by digging a strip 20cm bind all around it find the area of the enlarged flower Beth and the increase in area of the flower bed

Side of the square flower bed = 8m 80cm

                                                = 880cm

So, side of the strip = 880 + 20 + 20

                                = 920cm

Area of the total flower bed = 220 x 220 

                                            = 846400 square cm

                                            = 8464 square metre ( ans )
