Answer:

let the breath of the rectangle be x

perimeter = 2×(L+B)

,2×36+x

72+x -------------( i )

area of sq = s×s

24 ×24 =576----------(ii)

72+x = 576

x=576-72

therefore x=504

Answer:

side of a square = 24cm

lenght of rectangle = 36cm

Step-by-step explanation:

at first we will find the area of square

area of square = side × side

= 24cm × 24cm

= 576cm2

Here ,

area of rectangle is same as area of square

so, area of rectangle = l × b

576cm2 = 36 cm × b

576cm2/ 36cm= b

16 cm = b

Now,

perimeter of rectangle = 2 (l+b)

= 2 ( 36+16)

= 2 × 52cm

= 104 cm

Hence perimeter of rectangle is 104 cm
