the side of a square is 4 centimetre .it is cut into four equal squares.what is the area of a smaller square .​

Solution

area of the large square is =4² cm²

area of each small square is=4²/4=4 cm²

therefore side of each small square is

=√4 cm

=2 cm

Ans= side of each small square is =2 cm

side of smaller square=2cm

so

area of smaller square=side*side

=2*2

=4square cm
