The side of a square is 4 cm. The length of a rectangle is 8 cm and its width is 2 cm.  Find the perimeter and area of both figures.

║⊕ANSWER⊕║

GIVEN

Length of the square = 4 cm

Area of the square = side * side

                               = 4 * 4

                               = 16 cm²

Perimeter of the square = 4 * sides

                                        = 4 * 4

                                        = 16 cm

Length of rectangle = 8 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 2 cm

Area of the rectangle = Length * Breadth

                                    = 8 * 2

                                    = 16 cm²

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 * (length + breadth)

                                             = 2 * (8+2)

                                              = 2 * 10

                                              = 20 cm

Answer:

Hey mate! here is your answer

Side of a square = 4 cm

Perimeter = 4×Side or sum of all sides

= 4×4 = 16 cm

Area = (side)2 or side×Side

= 4×4 = 16 cm^2.

Length of a rectangle = 8 cm

Breadth or width = 2 cm

Perimeter = 2 (l+b)

= 2 (8+2)

= 2×10 = 20 cm.

Area = l×b

= 8×2 = 16 cm^2.
