the side of a square is 4 cm.the length of a rectangle is 8 cm and it's width is 2 cm.find it's perimeter and area of both figure

Case 1:

Side of Square = 4cm

Perimeter = 4 × side

= 4 × 4 = 16 cm

Area = (side)² = (4)² = 16 cm²

Case 2 :

Length of Rectangle = 8 cm

Width of Rectangle = 2 cm

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

= 2(8 + 2) = 2(10) = 20 cm

Area = Length × Breadth

= 8 × 2 = 16 cm²
