Given,

  • Side of Square = 5cm
  • Area of Rectangle =2 × Area of Square

To Find

  • Area of Rectangle

We know that

Area\ of\ Square= (Side)²

Area\ of\ Square= {5}^{2}

Area\ of\ Square= 25cm ^{2}

It is Given area of a rectangle is twice the area of this square

{Area \:  of  \: Rectangle= 2× Area  \: of  \: Square }

{Area \:  of  \: Rectangle= 2× 25 }

{Area \:  of  \: Rectangle= 50cm ^{2}  }

Hence the area of Rectangle is 50cm²

  • Area of Rectangle = 2( Area of Square) eq(1)
  • then ,
  • Area of Square = (a)² = (5)² = 25cm²
  •  \large \sf \color{lime}{Area \:  \:  of \:  \:  Square = 25 {cm}^{2} }
  • Area of Rectangle = 2(25) = 50cm²
